Training is not required for all volunteer opportunities:
- Events Assistant
- Committee Members
- Shelter Maintenance
- Homework Helper
- Donation Room Volunteer

- Reading at Storytime

Tasks that require training:
- Answer Hotline Calls
- Emergency Shelter Volunteer
- Assist victims in completing Protection from Abuse Orders
- Provide information and referrals

Spring 2012 Volunteer Training
SWiC is seeking caring, sensitive individuals who are interested in volunteering their time to assist victims of domestic violence and their children. Volunteers must complete a 40-hour training program held two nights a week for six weeks in Pottsville.
